Challenge:

Create a captivating consumer activation experience for the 2024 NBA All-Star Crossover event at the Indiana Convention Center in Indianapolis. The goal was to design and develop an engaging interactive game that adhered to the NBA All-Star brand guidelines and enhanced the fan experience during the multi-day event.

 

Solution:

Nextperience presented the “Dropping Dime Challenge,” a giant-sized interactive Plinko game designed for the NBA Crossover event. The project included:

Interactive Plinko Game: A 17-foot digital Plinko game consisting of 63 screens, designed to capture attendees’ attention and provide an engaging experience.

QR Scan Station: Developed a QR scan station for gameplay registration, seamlessly integrating with the NBA Events app to offer a user-friendly experience.

Email Notification System: Implemented an email notification system to deliver branded prize notifications, including concert and game tickets and NBAstore.com gift cards.

 

Backend Development:

Developed a robust backend infrastructure to support the seamless operation of the interactive Plinko game, ensuring smooth consumer registration and prize notification processes.

 

Results:

High Engagement: Significant number of interactions and registrations.

Positive Feedback: Received overwhelmingly positive consumer feedback.

Enhanced Experience: Successfully enhanced the fan experience at the NBA All-Star Crossover event, reinforcing the NBA’s brand and reputation.
